Systems Update

Eagles Nest Reservoir

The reservoir has recovered and has been supplying normally over the past two days, including the Alan Manor and Naturena reservoirs.

Crown Gardens Reservoir and Tower
Both have recovered and have been supplying normally over the past 24hrs. Johannesburg Water is monitoring and attending to airlocks as and when required.

Hursthill 1 and 2 Reservoirs
The reservoir remains in bypass mode while the Hursthill 2 reservoir has improved. However, both reservoirs remain under strain and poor pressure to no water is expected, especially in high-lying areas of the supply zone, including Coronationville and Claremont. Johannesburg Water is providing alternate water supply to affected areas as and when required.

Yeoville and Forest Hill systems
Both reservoirs have recovered and have also been supplying normally over the past 24hrs. Johannesburg Water is monitoring and responding to airlocks.

Randburg/Roodepoort
The Linden 1 Reservoir has improved and has been supplying normally in the past 24hrs. However, the Linden 1 Tower is experiencing high demand and is critically low. Poor pressure is expected in high-lying areas of the supply zone.

The Blairgowrie and Linden 2 reservoirs, as well as the Kensington B Reservoir and Tower, have improved and are supplying normally; however poor pressure may still be experienced while systems are recovering. Johannesburg Water will monitor and attend to airlocks.

Florida North Tower
Power has been restored and pumping resumed. The system is supplying normally from the morning.
