Please note that we have a major burst at JB Marks street in Diepsloot Ext 4. We have no estimated time for completion at this stage. We are currently excavating the site to access the damage to the main. Water has been isolated in Ext 4.

UPDATE: Repairs are complete. We are waiting for the fitter to open water. Electro mechanic is on the way.

UPDATE: please note that the pipe is in, we are alighning and tightening, pipe preparations took a bit longer, we will push to finish by 20:00.

 

Work is still in progress. We should finish within the planned time.

We appeal to all to use water sparingly and to remind them that level one water restrictions are still in place. Watering of gardens is not allowed between 6 am and 6 pm in summer months (1 Sept to 31 March) and furthermore, it is not allowed to wash paved areas and driveway using hosepipes.

Please kindly note that we are planning a shutdown to install isolation valve on F6 pipeline on the 14th May 2020 for 12 hours. It will affect two meters which are Durban deep and West Roodepoort Meter.

Shutdown date is 14/05/2020 ,start time 08:00am to 22:00pm. Meters affected Durban deep meter and West Roodepoort meter.

Impact: No water
Reason: Tie-in new pipeline to existing main
