UPDATE: 24 April 2020, 20H50pm – JW team has finished tightening the bolts, now balancing the pipe and light compaction, fitter on the way to open water. Please note it will take a while before everyone has water in their taps as the line was completely empty. Thanks for your patience.

UPDATE: 24 April 2020, 18H20pm – We are making some progress as the team is busy installing cascade clamps to wrap the 1.3 meter diameter pipe. We expect to complete in the next 4-5 hours and will immediately start pressuring the line. Apologies for the inconvenience.

UPDATE: 24 April 2020, 14H00pm – The team has completed the excavations and busy constructing couplings to join the pipes together. We appeal for patience and there is still no ETA at this moment. Water tankers are still available to assist.

UPDATE: 24 April 2020, 07H40am – We were unable to adequately excavate the pipe area properly, we have requested an excavator, which will be on site this morning. Ten trucks are out roaming the affected areas. Apologies for the inconvenience.

UPDATE: 19H40 – ‪We have six water tanks and ten trucks are roaming in the high lying areas. President Park reservior reservior relatively empty. The JW team is on site and excavation has commenced. Please do use water sparingly

#Lawley #Ennerdale

UPDATE: 16H00 – Due to excessive water demand at Ennerdale and Lawley. Ennerdale reserviors and Lawley will be closed tonight at 19H00 and will be opened in the morning (Friday) at 4H00am.

People who will be using water deep at night or early hours before 4am are urged to keep water in containers. Affected areas will be Ennerdale and Lawley all Extensions.

UPDATE: 12H00 –  The demand at Ennerdale is extremely high, we urge the community to use water sparingly and report any burst pipe to call centre : 0113555555, email: customer@jwater.co.za, Twitter: @JHBwater, Facebook : Johannesburg Water.

We are currently experiencing high water demand at Ennerdale/Lawley water supply. Ennerdale reservoirs are currently very low while Lawley reservoir has run empty. We will close Lawley reservoir to build storage.
We will be supplying Lawley 2 residents with stationery water tankers. Location of the stationery tankers will be confirmed. We urge residents to save water and not leave taps running.

Tankers will be allocated as follows:
1. Simelane Street (2 tankers)
2. Mafikile street
3. Paul street
4. Dingane Street
5. kwena Street
6. Mopane street
7. zwane street
