Craigavon water outage
Water has been isolated in Craigavon to allow Johannesburg Water technical teams to conduct investigations into the reason for the area outage.
This follows the planned maintenance which took place on Tuesday, 15 August 2023 and affected Witkoppen, Craigavon, and parts of Kengies. The planned interruption was to conduct a tie-in from an existing 160mm AC pipe to an 110mm uPVC pipe (PRV 1 and 2).
When the water pipeline in the area was opened after the maintenance work yesterday, it was found that Craigavon residents were still without water.
Water has since been isolated in the area and Johannesburg Water technical teams are investigating the cause of the outage.
