Midrand Systems
Rabie Ridge reservoir and tower
The reservoir and tower maintained stability overnight. The reservoir is 30% open to preserve capacity.

Diepsloot reservoir
Maintained stability overnight and supplying normally. Outlet opened at 50% to retain capacity.

Alexander Park reservoir
The reservoir levels remained low overnight. Low pressure is expected in high-lying areas. Configuration has been done to improve supply pressure.

Commando System
• Brixton reservoir: Built up some capacity overnight and is supplying at 50% due to poor incoming supply. Poor pressure to no water is expected in high-lying areas.
• Brixton tower: Levels are low, but it is supplying normally. Pumping is at half capacity to retain capacity in the reservoir.
• Hursthill 1 and 2 reservoirs: Both reservoirs gained some capacity overnight and are supplying normally; however, levels remain low due to poor supply. Low pressure is expected in high-lying areas.
• Crosby reservoir: The reservoir is currently supplying on bypass mode while maintenance work continues. Poor pressure to no water is expected in the supply zone.

Alternative water supply has been arranged for the affected areas.
Residents are requested to observe level-1 water restrictions which are implemented
from 1 September to 31 March. These restrictions prohibit the use of hosepipes to
water gardens, wash cars, clean driveways, as well as fill up swimming pools and
water features between 06:00 and 18:00. Instead, the use of greywater is encouraged.
This is to ensure that systems are kept stable throughout the coming months. We urge
residents to report any form of vandalism and theft of water infrastructure to 0800 00
25 87.
