Randpark Ridge reservoir update

Johannesburg Water is aware of the current water supply challenges in the Randpark Ridge, Bromhof, and surrounding areas. This is due to a burst pipe that had occurred on Wednesday, 3 April, along the supply line to the Randpark Ridge reservoir.

Johannesburg Water teams repaired the burst pipe on Wednesday but had to isolate the water. This resulted in poor pressure to no water for residents.

The repairs were completed, and the valve was opened this morning. The supply area is still recovering. Johannesburg Water teams are currently flushing the line of air pockets. However, please note it will take several hours for the network to fill up and residents will experience poor pressure to no water, especially in high-lying areas.
