Sandton System constrained due to poor supply
Johannesburg Water is actively monitoring the situation and implementing essential adjustments to improve supply in Sandton.
Affected reservoirs:
Illovo Reservoir and Tower
Both reservoir and tower are critically low to empty, poor pressure to no water is expected in the supply zone.
Bryanston reservoir and tower
The reservoir and tower are stable but overall capacity is declining. However, the system continues to supply normally.
Morningside, Marlboro and Linbro Park reservoirs.
The overall system remains stable, although, there is a decline in the capacity level due to poor supply. Currently, the system is supplying normally. Both Marlboro and Linbro, the direct feeds, may experience the effects of low pressure.
System improvement is expected overnight. Johannesburg Water will provide updates as they become available.
