Randjieslaagte Reservoir Update
The reservoir is currently on bypass due to a burst on the inlet pipe as previously communicated. This will allow Johannesburg Water an opportunity to implement necessary interventions to restore normal operation.
Currently customers in the supply zone including parts of Alexandra, will start receiving water supply from bypass arrangements.
The supply is expected to improve overnight, however Johannesburg Water is monitoring the situation.
Additionally, Johannesburg Water is undertaking complex repairs at the reservoir, there is no estimated time of restoration at this stage.
Roaming tankers are provided to assist affected customers.
Affected areas include parts of: Bramley, Sunningdale, Lombardy, Glenhazel, Rembrandt Park, Corlett Gardens, Sandringham and Kew.
