Systems Update
Yeoville Pump Station
City Power has completed repairs at their Bellevue substation, and normal pumping has resumed at Johannesburg Water’s Yeoville Pump Station. The system is slowly recovering, and it will take four to six hours for a normal water supply to return.
Most customers will have water after several hours, except for high-lying areas, which will recover last.
The affected areas are Hillbrow, Yeoville, Berea, Kensington, and all surrounding suburbs. Johannesburg Water has organised roaming water trucks to supply water to affected areas. Further details will be provided.
Bryanston Pump Station
There is a City Power outage in the Bryanston area, which is affecting pumping to the Bryanston Tower. As a result, the tower is currently critically low to empty.
Residents in the supply zone will be affected by poor pressure to no water. Johannesburg Water will arrange water tankers should the need arise.

There is currently no estimated time for restoration. Pumping will resume once power is restored.

Update: Commando System
Overall, the Commando System has improved compared to last week; however, it still remains under strain due to high demand.
Hursthill 1 and 2 reservoirs
The two systems have improved overnight, although levels are still low. However, the overall systems are supplying normally.
Crosby reservoir
The reservoir is currently critically low. Although supplying fairly, some residents will experience poor pressure, especially in high-lying areas.
Brixton reservoir and tower
The Brixton system is supplying normally.
Johannesburg Water has ongoing daily interventions to improve the system, including the daily throttling of the Hursthill 2 reservoir and the Brixton reservoir. These interventions also include augmenting the supply to the Hursthill 1 reservoir from nearby systems that have adequate supply.
