Yeoville Pump Station operational

Operations resumed at the Yeoville pump station after repairs were completed successfully on a malfunctioning motor.

This comes after the faulty motor, which was the reason behind the water outage in the area, was serviced and installed in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).

Technical teams had to then wait for the power to return before they could commission the motor. Thereafter, pumping resumed from around 12:00.

Customers are reminded that it may take several hours for the system to be at full capacity. Furthermore, customers in high-lying areas may still experience low water pressure.
