Please note that there was a burst at President Fouche & CR Swart Road over the weekend. This resulted in inconsistent water supply in parts of Sonneglans and Bromhof. Relevant materials are sourced for repairs tomorrow.

Planned Rand Water Shutdown: 3-4 June 2022
Johannesburg Water would like to inform residents of a planned Rand Water shutdown to cross connect the newly constructed H39 pipeline to the existing H12 pipeline at Randjesfontein. The shutdown is planned for the 3rd to the 4th June 2022.
The duration of the shutdown will be 39.5 hours starting from 7:00 AM on the 3rd until 22:00 PM on the 4th. The system is expected to recover within 2 to 3 days after the H12 pipeline is re-commissioned.
This will affect the Johannesburg Water’s Randjesfontein reservoir, which supplies Randjesfontein and Randjespark Estate extension 1.
Customers are urged to use water sparingly and only for essential purposes during this period. Johannesburg Water apologises for the inconvenience caused.

1. Blairgowrie
Water has been isolated due to the burst on the asbestos cement main. The affected main and fittings, which are being sourced, are not standard sizes. Arrangements are being made for alternate water supply to affected areas. We don’t have ETC
2. Meadowlands planned shutdown
The team finished at 2am this morning. The system is still building up, hence some areas do have water, while the high lying areas are still without. We expect the situation to improve as the day progresses
3. Major burst pipe at corner Shefield and Witwatersrand roads, Lenasia South ext 4
The bulk main is isolated. The completion of manufacturing of the specialised fittings is estimated within 5 working days, in order to comply with required standards. Johannesburg Water forsees the delivery of the fittings onsite on the 26th May 2022. Repairs will commence thereafter onsite. We continue to provide water through stationary water tanks and mobile tankers to affected communities. Further updates will be provided to customers. Johannesburg Water apologises to customers for the inconvenience caused and thanks customers for their patience and understanding.
Affected areas include parts of:
1. Ward 120 – Lenasia south ext 4, Portions of Vlakfontein along Golden Highway, Univille.
2. Ward 122 – Portions of Vlakfontein ext 3
3. Ward 6 – Portion of Migson Manor, and Portion of Finetown
4. Ward 7 – Portion of Finetown, Meiriting, and Portion of Migson Manor.
Alternate water is being provided through stationary tanks located in the following areas:
1. Corner Andries Street and Shefield, Lenasia South ext 4
2. Corner Shefield and Witwatersrand
3. Mable Hall, Finetown
4. Migson Manor next to supermarket.
5. Next to Jet Store, Finetown
6. Corner Mt Cook and Witwatersrand, Lenasia South Ext 4
7.Vlakvontein ext 3 next to the School.
8.Finetown Multi Purpose centre
9. Migson Manor side bordering with Finetown.
10. Troy Circle – Lenasia South ext 4
11.Mount Logan str closer to Witwatersrand intersection
12. Drakensberg rd near Kiasha Park School
13. Migson Manor intersecting with Finetown.
