2. Bryanston: Please kindly note that the team is busy with repairs on Westbourne road, in Bryanston.
3. Major burst pipe at corner Shefield and Witwatersrand roads, Lenasia South ext 4
Water has been isolated on the bulk main. The specialised fittings are in the process of being manufactured. Once the fittings are completed and delivered to site, the necessary repairs will commence. Mobile tankers are providing water supply customers in other areas. There is no estimated time for completion at this stage. Further updates will be provided to customers. Johannesburg Water apologises to customers for the inconvenience caused and thanks customers for their patience and understanding.
Affected areas include: Lenasia South ext 4, Migson Manor, Finetown, Vlakfontein ext 3, Meiriting informal settlement.

Rand Water Emergency Shutdown – Emfuleni 88kVA transformer
Johannesburg Water (JW) would like to inform the residents of an emergency shutdown on the Emfuleni 88kVa transformer providing water to the Rand Water Vereeniging works. The shutdown is scheduled from 19:00 to 00:00 tonight, 16 May 2022. According to Rand Water, this will affect the Eikenhof pump station, which will only pump at 50% capacity.
The impact will be on JW’s Roodepoort direct fed system as well as Brixton/Crosby and Hursthill system. The shutdown will also affect the Rand Water Zwartkopies pump station, which will have an impact on the Forest Hill tower and Yeoville reservoir.
Johannesburg Water will monitor the affected systems and regular updates will be communicated to customers.
We urge customers to reduce consumption for critical needs during this period and apologises for the inconvenience caused.

Planned Rand Water Shutdown: 3 June 2022
Johannesburg Water (JW) would like to inform the residents of the Rand Water shutdown planned to take place on the 3rd June 2022. The shutdown is due to the installation of a new non-return valve on pumpset 20 at the Vereeniging Water Treatment Plant and, to tie-in the newly installed F46 pipeline to the existing F34 pipeline. The water supply to the Eikenhof Booster Station will be reduced by 50% and this will affect several areas in JW’s area of supply.
The duration of the shutdown will be 24 hours and it will take approximately 3-5 days for the system to adequately recover after supply has been fully restored.

• Waterval 1 & 2, Weltevreden and Roodepoort
The following Rand Water meters will be affected:
• Corriemoor, Cornelius Street, Weltevreden High pressure, Weltevreden high pressure bypass, Honeydew reservoir No:1 and Commando Road
