Burst pipe in Midrand
Repairs are underway on a major burst pipe in Midrand. The Johannesburg Water team is currently busy with excavations, and thereafter will source the relevant fittings after assessing the extent of the burst.
There is currently no estimated time for completion; however, Johannesburg Water will update customers accordingly as and when new information becomes available.
Affected areas are the following: Halfway House, Allandale, Grand Central, Randjespark, and parts of Jukskei View, including Munyaka and Kukuyi.
The Entity is providing alternative water supply through roaming trucks.

Honeydew reservoir update
The repair work on a GRP pipe on the outlet of the Honeydew reservoir has been completed.
The repairs were finished within the scheduled time (at 24:00) on Tuesday night. Johannesburg Water has opened up the water and bringing the pipeline back into service. The system is currently slowly filling up while Johannesburg Water continues to monitor the situation to ensure there is no reoccurrence.
Currently, the Olivedale reservoir is low, while the Honeydew reservoir is supplying in bypass mode.
Some residents have already begun getting water supply, while others (particularly in high-lying areas) will see an improvement in their water supply during the course of the day.
Johannesburg Water continues to provide alternative water supply through roaming water trucks for the affected residents.
Further updates will be provided to customers as and when more information becomes available.

The contractor is still on site with the activity of aligning the couplings to ensure proper joining of the pipework. The repair is on track.
Alternative water provision is provided where required.

Honeydew reservoir update
The Johannesburg Water technical team and service provider are on site at the Honeydew reservoir working jointly on the restorations.
So far, excavations have been completed and the repairs are in progress and on schedule. The estimated completion time is tonight at 24:00. However, if technical challenges occur, this will be communicated.
The technical team is repairing a GRP pipe on the outlet of the reservoir.
Johannesburg Water continues to provide alternative water supply through roaming water trucks for the affected residents.
Further updates will be provided to customers as and when more information becomes available.

The technical team is repairing a GRP pipe on the outlet of the reservoir. The estimated time for the completion of repairs is midnight. However, if technical challenges occur, this will be communicated.
