[02/14, 15:31] 14 February 2022 15h00: JW Update Reservoir status: Hursthill/ Brixton and Crosby
Both Brixton and Crosby reservoirs are stable at this time.
Water supply has improved from this morning into the Hursthill system, which is in the recovery process. Full recovery may take a few days.
Customers in affected areas may experience low pressure or no water while the system recovers.
Affected areas include parts of:
Montgomery Park, Albertsville, Franklin Roosevelt Park, Westbury, Northcliff, Albertskroon, Greymont, Coronationville, Hursthill, Claremont, Newlands, Martindale, Triomf, Montclare, Westdene, Newclare, Delarey, Greenside, Parkview, Melville, Westcliff Auckland Park, Parkhurst, Victory Park Estate, Richmond and Rossmore.
Arrangements are being made for alternate water supply. Further details to be advised.

Due to a power outage, supply into Forest Hill Tower has been impacted.
Customers in the tower zone will experience no water during the outage
Affected areas include parts of:
Oakdene, Rosettenville, The Hill, Gillview, Towerby, Forest Hill, Southdale, Robertsham, Winchester Hills, West Turfontein, Glenanda and Turf Club.
Further details to be advised shortly on alternate water supply.

Rand Water reduced water supply due to Eikenhoff pumps tripping
There is a 50% reduction in water supply to the Brixton/Hursthill and Crosby system. The Hursthill reservoir is at a very low level.
Rand Water technicians are onsite attending to the problem.

Eikenhof 2 pumps tripped. This is impacting on water supply to the Crosby/Brixton and Hurst Hill reservoirs. Especially Hurst Hill is affected. Areas will experience low water pressure to no water.
Residents are urged to use water sparingly, as Rand Water Technicians work on the situation.

1. Johannesburg Water acknowledges that customers in Ouhout and Suikerbos streets Randpark, have been affected by a water outage. The team has resolved a major burst in Ouhout street.
2. A team is attending to a burst at 5 Ateljee str, Randpark. There is no estimated time for completion at this stage.

[02/11, 19:53] 11 February 2022 JW Update: Bursts status Basil Crescent, Fleming street and Coleraine drive:
1. Standby team is attending to the burst at Fleming Street and thereafter Basil Crescent.
2. Once City Power attends to cables at Coleraine drive, the site will be safe for JW plumbers to proceed with repairs.
Alternate arrangements for water supply (mobile tankers)have been arranged for customers in the Riverclub area.

Reason: Tieng inn new water pipes at Lenasia High level Reservoir
We appeal to all to use water sparingly and to remind them that level one water restrictions are still in place. Watering of gardens is not allowed between 6 am and 6 pm in summer months (1 Sept to 31 March) and furthermore, it is not allowed to wash paved areas and driveway using hosepipes.
